This hotel is an absolute gem. The historic building is beautiful and has been remodeled preserving the essence and beauty of the Yucatan haciendas. The food is delicious and the service is extraordinary. Everyone is so kind and eager to help make you feel at home. If you pass through Merida take a day off to enjoy this place. Thank you to all the staff and Mrs Pool at the front desk who made everything perfect.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff. The hotel has 11 rooms, all unique and multiple pools. Very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is fantastic, with great dishes and drinks. A good amount of tours are available, including a history, honey, bird, henequen, and the botanical garden tour. Bikes are available too, and we also took a Mayan class. For us, this was a beautiful and very memorable way to get away from the hectic of our lives, recharge, and connect with part of our past. It's absolutely worth the money you pay and we would love to come back.

My wife and I stayed here for a one night get away Upon arrival, we were greeted with cool towels and glasses of ice-cold lemonade. After checking in, we were shown to our room which was nicely decorated and comfortable. As IHG Platinum members, we also received complimentary bottles of water and an assortment of fresh fruit. The bathroom was stocked with high-quality, handmade soaps and bath products that my wife especially appreciated. The hacienda itself is beautifully restored, with charming colonial architecture, two swimming pools, and nicely maintained gardens and walking paths. We were also the only guests and had the entire place to ourselves The food and drinks at the restaurant were excellent, and the service was top-notch throughout our stay. Like all haciendas, this is the kind of place where you bring a good book, unplug, and just relax. Highly recommended.

We did not stay here, but just stopped for lunch. The homemade pibil and tortillas were so delicious! An out of the way place with out of this world taste!

This hacienda was absolute perfection. Stayed a night after a stay in Merida. The only slight negative is the location which is far away from any major centre but that really isn't a negative if you're looking for a getaway from the major cities. The Staff: All of them were incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I have IHG Diamond status so a tour of the grounds was included, don't skip if you're offered one. Only issue is for English speakers only, the tour guide (a long term employee) only speaks Spanish. This is to be expected based on the location of the hacienda. The staff are willing to help with any request and are quick with a genuine smile. The staff clearly love what they do and make this one of my best stays at any property I've ever stayed at. The best comparison I have is to the service I received at the Intercontinental Tokyo Bay which is the best praise I can give the staff of the Hacienda Santa Rosa de Lima. A welcome gift of a bottle of wine, fresh fruit and dessert was extremely appreciated. The Accommodations: Wow. What else is there to say?! I believe even the entry level room would impress just about everyone. There are only 11 rooms (I thought there were 15 but was corrected on my tour). Some rooms have hammocks, private pools, private outdoor jacuzzis. I was upgraded to the village onsite, Casa Maya. Our villa was huge and had an outdoor private jacuzzi which we took advantage of at night enjoying our gift of a bottle of wine. The water pressure and temperature of the shower were perfect. The bed was extremely comfortable but a little short (I'm 6'3"). The Restaurant: The food was absolutely incredible. We'd just eaten at two of the best restaurants in Merida so we were already spoiled but they did not disappoint. After a day at the ruins of Uxmal and having a late lunch we returned for dinner. We decided to do tapas for dinner and just ordered appetizers. It was a great decision. Every bite was more delicious than the last. The flavours were exactly what you would expect from traditional Mexican / Yucatan cooking. The next morning we came from breakfast before the 4+ drive back to our resort in Akumal. I ordered the rancho rancheros which were great but we girlfriend ordered the chicken chilachles (half verdes half rojas). These were the best chilachles we have ever had in our lives. This has probably ruined chilachles for both of us forever, but we're so glad to have tasted perfection. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We were so happy to have had the opportunity to experience your exquisite hacienda.

A stunning, impeccable property with utterly professional staff. We stayed for two nights during low season and had the entire domain to ourselves. Fantastic pool where you're surrounded by all sorts of beautiful birds. Over a hundred different plant and flower species right on the grounds (12 hectares), all beautifully well taken care of, including a botanical garden for herbs and spices. Truly a paradise. We had all meals at the Hacienda and enjoyed every moment... huge thanks especially to Hector and Fidel, and to all the others, many of whom grew up together in the local town and have become true stewards of the place. After day two, we couldn't help but feel like we were welcomed guests and friends in a special community, all while in the comforts of a beautiful hacienda. Make sure to visit the henequen workshops down the street where you can admire and purchase artisanal products by local artists.
